Presentation

"Tagete – Archives of Legal Medicine and Dentistry" is a quarterly journal that publishes scientifically sound articles of interest to clinical practicioners, researchers, medical legal specialists and jurists focusing on the legal and forensic aspects of the medical profession. Acceptable subjects include in particular medicine malpractice, insurance medicine, legal and social aspects of medicine bioethics. A special section reserved to paper dealing with similar aspects of the dental profession is also present in every issue of the Archives. Official languages of the Archives of Legal Medicine and Dentistry are Italian and English. The Journal publishes:

1. Topical reviews providing up to date analysis of the most recent development in the field of the forensic and legal aspects of the medical and dental profession.

2. Clinical reports, case series or case reports of particular interest for their legal and forensic implications related with any aspect of the medical and dental profession.

3. Research Paper of feature Article of current methods and specific aspects of various procedures or instrumentation.

4. Technical Article or Note of a new application of an existing technique or instructive findings on an unusual case or a step-by-step description of specific analytical procedures, detailing the material and methods used and evaluating the results.

5. Invited focus articles presenting a position or hypothesis on a medical-related legal aspect. These articles are not intended for the presentation of original results or comprehensive literature reviews. Authors are selected by the editor-in-chief and by the editorial board. Court pronunciation of particular interest in the malpractice field can be discussed.

All submissions are peer reviewed by two external reviewers and by the editor.
